Guides
As a major factor to the success of our business and the enjoyment of our customers canyoning.co.nz are looking for exceptional guides to deliver safe and enjoyable daily experiences through our Queenstown, Routeburn and our brand new Earnslaw canyon.
Previous canyon guiding experience is not essential as we offer full training to the right candidate. Previous guiding of outdoor activities, rope, water and first aid skills are preferred.
In order to give the best customer experience possible our guides have to have more than just technical capabilities. Positive, happy guides that make people feel safe and at ease when helping them overcome a personal challenge can MAKE the experience. Because of this, soft skills and the ability to adapt to people's individual needs are a must.
Our guides are also our drivers so a NZ Licence with P Endorsement (NZ passenger license) is desirable.
If you think this is you, get in touch!
Photo guides
Photo guiding is a unique position for a unique person. For safety reasons our customers are not allowed to bring their own cameras into the canyon so you are responsible for capturing their experience throughout the canyon, in and out of the water.
Professional photography experience is not essential as training can be given to the right candidate. Customer service, sales and the ability to entertain are key to this position.
Our photography guides work along side our guides to provide safe and enjoyable trips as well as with our frontline staff to give our customers a safe and positive experience from the minute they meet us.
A NZ license with 'P endorsement' is desirable.
